A CLOSER LOOK

In this workshop we will share knowledge on the traditions and principles of ikebana & explore the concept by making our own Ikebana arrangement.

After a small demonstration, the group will spend their morning carefully selecting their materials and thoughtfully arranging the pieces. 

We will be on hand for any assistance, techniques or tips as we flow through the process.

We will be invited to take 'A closer look', as we create our ikebana arrangements on a tiny scale, focusing in on interesting shapes, negative space and small details.

After lunch we will collaborate with photographer @marionbergin_ who will share tips and techniques when photographing flowers. Marion will shoot up-close stills of each attendees artistic progressions for your own portfolio.

This workshop is an invitation to slow down, observe & work with nature, in the beautiful calming environment at Lis na Carrig House in Foxrock.
